Additional Information

*Welcome back Cavaliers!  It’s so funny; I just sent out notes to staff and sympathized with them that we are going back tomorrow.  I ran into a parent at the movie theatre on Saturday.  I said, “I’ll see your student on Tuesday.”  She said, “Yes!” and fist pumped.  So….our points of view are maybe a little different.  Seriously, second semester can be a good place for students to be in.  They know their teachers and what to expect.  They’ve already transitioned to a those expectations.  I sincerely hope your student has a second semester that surpasses his/her first semester.

*We’ll have an assembly Jan. 10 at 3:00 sponsored by Promise Council.  All of the adults I get to work with on Promise Council care so much about students and education.  It really is incredible.  These people don’t have students at KJ, but they really want all of your children to reach their potential.  That will be the focus of the assembly on Tuesday.  I feel so lucky to live and work in a community that really cares about people they most likely will never meet.  It’s a great message to share with the kids.  Remember – PC is having a fundraiser on Friday, January 27th.  Tickets for a comedian/magician at the Castle Theatre are going for $40.00.  Call KJHS or email me if you’d like tickets.  It’s a great organization to support.
