Additional Information

*I want to extend a HUGE thank you to all of you for your support of PTO.  This support allows us to have assemblies like the recent author visit with Roland Smith.  His message was delivered with a terrific sense of humor that was well received by students.  I love that his message was “read, read, read and keep learning” and doors will open up for you.  The session he did with KJ students on writing tips was awesome.  Thank you as well for providing staff with lunch from the Olive Garden last Friday.  It may be hard to believe, but it’s a great pick me up for everyone to know they’re going to get a delicious lunch without putting forth any effort.  We are all truly thankful for all you do for us!

It is so hard to believe Thanksgiving is THIS week!  Time has absolutely flown by this year.  When we return, we’ll have one month until first semester ends and we go on winter break.  Encourage your students to push hard in this month and to do their best.  These last few weeks can make a big difference.

*Enjoy spending time with your children and families over the holiday.  I know I’ve said it before, but they do grow up so fast.  My older son is flying in from California today, and he’s already put in his food order.  He knows I’ll go out of my way to make sure I make his favorites before he leaves.  Life is short – your health and family are everything.  Happy Thanksgiving!
