Additional Information

*Please note that the district is cancelling TWO late starts; March 22 and April 12.  I know the unit office will put more information out, but I wanted you to have those dates for your calendars.

*We are working very hard at getting out students into all classes on time, but especially first hour.  Check in with your student; is he or she getting to class on time?  If students are late to first hour, they have to come to the office for a pass, and once they hit three tardies, they must serve a detention.  I am seeing students who think they have lots of time to stand in the halls and chat with their friends.  Three minutes isn’t enough time for that.

*We are excited about our author visit from Roland Smith this Tuesday.  Be sure to ask your student what he or she thought about it.  I’m also interested in some feedback from students in what they’d like to see for assemblies.  If you read this and get some ideas from your children, please send me an email or give me a call.  I’d love to know what they’d like to see at an assembly.

*It’s hard to believe we are only a week out from Thanksgiving!  That means we really only have a month until the semester ends.  Semester grades are what we are counting.  Please encourage your students not to wait until the last minute to make sure all their work is completed.  If they have any questions at all about assignments, they should be talking to teachers now, not waiting until the last minute.
