WHAT WILL THE UNIT 5 IT DEPARTMENT FIX? 

The Unit 5 IT department repairs and replaces 1:1 devices rented by students, and devices loaned to students while they are waiting for their 1:1 device to be repaired.  Please note, the IT department does not repair or replace BYOD (bring your own device) devices. When an issued device or any of its peripherals (such as a power adapter, or battery) have been damaged or need to be replaced, the IT department may assess a fee or multiple fees during the repair or replacement process.
 

HOW DOES THE UNIT 5 IT DEPARTMENT CHARGE FOR DAMAGES?
 
The Unit 5 IT department will no longer be categorizing 1:1 damage by the previously used "level" system.   All damage not covered by the manufacturer warranty on the 1:1 devices will be based on a "per part" basis.  A damage invoice will be included with each helpdesk ticket.

Fees can be appealed by downloading, completing, and turning in a Technolgy Fee Appeal Form
