Diplomat in US Studying Unit 5

A Korean foreign diplomat is in the United States studying the educational system in McLean County Unit District No. 5.

Dr. Baeg-beom Park has spent his long and distinguished career working within the Korean education system. He most recently served as the spokesman of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Korea until coming to the United States in late January.

District Earns Energy Award

Fourteen district sites have earned the prestigious Energy
Star designation. This represents an increase of four sites over the awards last year. Unit Five has 11 of the 34 schools currently recognized in the state.
